We’re proud to call BENDIGO home. nestled on HIGH Street, THE GOLDEN SQUARE Hotel has a long history in CENTRAL VICTORIA. Our doors first opened in the 1857 and we’re delighted to still be serving the community today.

AN ICONIC BENDIGO PUB

The Golden Square Hotel Bendgo is centrally located on High St just 2km south of Bendigo central in the historic suburb of Golden Square. The hotel dates back to the late 1800’s and was once the southern tram terminal for services provided out of the city centre.

The Golden Square Hotel now has a new management team, staff and offer patrons a range of modern facilities and services including delicious pub dining, bar, live sports, beer garden and function room.

The hotel was also owned and known by the locals as “Billy Rodda’s” – a famous footballer in Golden Square.

The Golden Square Hotel is a Bendigo favourite. Recently renovated, it is a classic pub where you can enjoy a quality meal and cold beverage in a relaxed setting.

If sport is more your thing, catch your favourite teams playing Live & Loud on one of our large screen TV’s and enjoy a punt via the TAB app in ‘venue mode’.

Golden Square Hotel car park is accessible from Maple Street or there is ample street parking on High Street and Maple Street.

Of course. Please let us know upon booking if there are children or if any highchairs are required.

You can bring a cake into the venue for your special celebration. Please discuss upon booking with staff if any cakeage is required. Decorations are welcome for your table or function however we request you take them with you upon leaving.

Our menu has a range of options that can accommodate for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets. Please note all dietaries when you are placing a booking, for or any specific dietaries not listed please reach out to our team to confirm options.

You can bring your dog provided it is on a lead and with you at all times outside in the courtyard (access through car park on Maple Street). Please let us know if you require a water bowl. Service dogs accepted inside also. Please let staff know upon booking if a Service Dog will be accompanying you so we can ensure there is plenty of space for them.

Yes. Wheelchair access is through the entrance on Maple Street.

It is always best to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. However, walk-ins are always welcome if we have the space to accommodate you, we will.

Neat Clean Casual. However we understand that good feeling of a knock off beer right after a hard day at work or playing sport, and you are more than welcome in your work wear or sporting wear but please ensure shoes and clothing are worn at all times.
